Bodrum

Bodrum is a coastal town on the eponymous peninsula. It lies in a theater-like valley facing south to the Aegean Sea. The coastline of the Bodrum Peninsula is divided by many small islands, peninsulas, bays and capes. Due to this unique and picturesque location and its rich ancient history, Bodrum is one of the most vibrant touristic centers in the Turkish Aegean area and home to around 150,000 people.

The center of the district and resorts in environs famous for their sandy beaches, Bodrum’s natural beauty as well as its typical white houses with blue framed windows, enchant every visitor. The impressive medieval castle built by the Knights of Rhodes guards the entrance to Bodrum Bay, the place where the Aegean Sea and the Mediterranean Sea meet each other. Bodrum is also a perfect destination to taste Turkish cuisine and enjoy nightlife.

The town is subject to the Mediterranean climate and the weather is always temperate. The average temperature for winters is 15°C, and for summers is 30°C. However, the level of humidity is not high. Precipitation occurs mainly in winter and spring.
